Painting done the slow, careful way

Most of a great paint job happens before the first coat. We scrape, sand, caulk and prime so your finish lasts through Colorado sun and freeze-thaw winters.

The prep is the whole point

Cheap paint jobs skip prep and peel in two winters. We'd rather take longer and have you call us again in ten years.

Every surface, coat and product listed. No vague lump sums.

Our own painters

Full-time, background-checked crew. No day labor, no subcontractors.

Daily updates

A text every afternoon with photos of what got done and what's next.

Spotless cleanup

Furniture back in place, outlets covers on, floors vacuumed.

If paint we applied peels, blisters or flakes within five years, we come back and fix it at no cost.

From the owner

Thirty years with a brush, and I still check every edge

I've painted houses since I was a teenager, first for my uncle in Pueblo and then for some of the biggest outfits in Denver.

I started TrueCoat in 2012 because I wanted to run a crew that preps properly, shows up when promised and cleans up like it's their own house.

I still walk every job before we call it finished. If an edge isn't sharp, we fix it before you ever see it.

Straight answers to common questions

If your question isn't here, call us. Happy to help, even if you don't hire us.

Still not sure? Ask a real person. (303) 555-0171
How much does it cost to paint a house in Denver?

Most exterior repaints run $4,800 to $11,500 depending on size, height and condition. Interior rooms typically run $450 to $900 each including walls and trim. Your estimate lists every surface, so there's no guesswork.

How long will my paint last?

With proper prep and the right paint, a Colorado exterior should last 8 to 12 years. Our 5-year labor warranty covers peeling, blistering and flaking.

When is the best time to paint outside?

April through October, when daytime temps stay above 50°F. We book exteriors 3 to 5 weeks out in summer, so spring is a great time to schedule.

Do I need to move my furniture?

No. We move and cover furniture, protect floors and put everything back where it was.

Are you insured and lead-safe certified?

Yes. We carry $2M in liability coverage plus workers' comp, and we're an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm for homes built before 1978.

Do you offer financing?

Exterior projects over $3,000 qualify for 12 months at 0% APR. Pre-qualifying takes 60 seconds and won't affect your credit.

What paint do you use?

Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore premium lines, chosen for the surface. Exteriors get 100% acrylic rated for high UV.
